My name is Clare, and I’m a Humanistic Integrative therapist offering compassionate, personalised support for a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, both in person at my private practice in Hertford East, Hertfordshire, and online via Microsoft Teams or FaceTime.
I have a special interest and in depth knowledge in the treatment of Personality Disorders, including Borderline and Narcissistic Personality Disorders. I also support individuals healing from the effects of Narcissistic Abuse with empathy, clarity, and care.
Alongside this, I hold a Diploma in ADHD Coaching and have a strong interest in working with ADHD—helping clients navigate challenges with focus, organisation, and emotional regulation.
My therapeutic approach combines psychodynamic and humanistic principles with practical tools such as DBT, Schema Therapy, mindfulness, and meditation. I maintain a daily meditation practice and often integrate these techniques into sessions to support emotional balance and self-compassion. I am also trained in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), an evidence based approach that supports people who struggle with self criticism, shame, or a harsh inner voice.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including NHS GP surgeries, hospices, women’s centres, and addiction recovery services. I was also part of the trauma response team following the Grenfell tragedy, providing frontline support to survivors.
One area I am deeply passionate about is men’s mental health. Too often, men feel they must carry their struggles alone, with limited spaces where they can be vulnerable without judgment. I believe there isn’t enough support or awareness around men’s emotional wellbeing, and I am committed to providing a safe, compassionate, and understanding environment where men can speak freely, explore what they’re going through, and begin to heal.
I take a holistic view of mental health, how we move, eat, sleep, and connect deeply influences how we feel. I’m a keen yogi, a lover of the outdoors, and often joined by my two gentle therapy dogs, who bring calm and warmth to the space.
Whatever you're going through—you’re welcome here.
